Instructions

How to Make Irresistible Parker House Rolls

  • Warm 1 cup of milk to lukewarm and mix in 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of all-purpose flour with 1 teaspoon of salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture, 4 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter, and 1 beaten egg. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Place the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Transfer the dough into a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough, divide it into 12-15 pieces, and shape each into a ball.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and brush with melted butter. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Brush with more melted butter right after baking.
