Instructions

How to Make Irresistible Blackened Shrimp Alfredo

  • Start by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, letting the steam escape.
  • In a small bowl, combine your blackening spices, such as paprika, cayenne, oregano, and garlic powder.
  • Generously rub the blackening seasoning onto your steak. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • In the same skillet, add a pat of butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant—about 30 seconds. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Remove shrimp from the skillet. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for about 5-7 minutes. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and melted.
  • Toss the cooked fettuccine, sliced steak, and sautéed shrimp into the sauce until well-coated. Garnish with fresh parsley, if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

Optional: A squeeze of lemon juice brightens the flavors beautifully.
