Baking Steps

  • Warm the milk until slightly warm to the touch. Stir in the sugar and sprinkle the yeast over top. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Whisk in the eggs and melted butter until creamy.
  • Gradually mix in the flour using a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle on parchment paper, spread the jam over the surface.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log, pinch seams, and twist into a spiral.
