How to Make Crispy Flavorful Pan-Seared Trout

  • In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning to create the remoulade.
  • Rinse trout fillets under cold water and pat dry. Season with salt, pepper, and Old Bay.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Sear trout fillets skin-side down in the skillet for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until opaque and flaky.
